Who is your ideal client?
Insight-oriented individuals who want to make sustainable lifestyle changes may be ready to start or resume their healing journey with me if they desire to better understand the connections between their thoughts, feelings & behaviors. They seek to discover & strengthen their inherent coping skills and tools to respond instead of react to life’s day-to-day challenges. They feel compelled to get to know their true authentic self better within the different contexts of life and are prepared to challenge automatic thoughts that may no longer, or may have never, served them. Ideal clients are ready to bring all of their cultural “stuff” to session and together we’ll explore which aspects resonate and which pieces may not align with one’s heart.

What's the difference between Therapy and Coaching?
Therapy is conducted by a licensed provider in your state according to medical necessity and guided by a clinical assessment and formal DSM diagnosis. Treatment may include a variety of modalities and techniques with a treatment plan.
Coaching provides an alternative form of support and accountability in making changes to see improvements in your overall functioning. While coaching often includes aspects of psychoeducation to foster general awareness and understanding, it is not regulated by a licensing board or diagnosis to justify medical necessity.

What are Yoga & Meditation?
Yoga is so many things! Learn about the 8 Limbs of Yoga here.
Your individualized yoga practice with me builds your foundation to safely move your body through the yoga postures, or “asanas,” paired with breathing. We intentionally build your mind-body connection, allowing you to become more fully present in your life.

Meditation allows us to notice what is already there within and around us at all times. We pause to pay attention for the purpose of becoming more aware without reacting to or trying to do anything about it. Increasing our capacity to be more “mindfully aware” allows us to accept, for example, that two things can be true at the same time- such as feeling grateful for aspects of your life’s circumstances *and* experience valid frustrations, too.

What is Reiki?
Reiki is the use of energy to heal and rebalance our bodies and minds. There is energy all around us and in all things at all times. When we experience emotional or physical pain, receiving Reiki may help “stuck” energy to move freely once more.
Everyone responds differently to receiving Reiki, so be gentle with yourself after your session! Be curious about what you notice, hydrate & take care.
Learn more about Reiki from the International Association of Reiki Professionals, this Dana-Farber Cancer Institute Insight Blog, or this article in The Atlantic.

How do services end?
Showing up for yourself and your emotional healing means taking actionable steps toward sustainable change. While the duration of services varies from person-to-person, you can expect to be respected as a service recipient. Similarly, I ask that my clients respect me, my time and show care and consideration for the office space and/or virtual space. You will be invited to be part of a collaborative service-planning process that will guide the work we do together.
We enter into the service relationship with mutual respect for one another and we both reserve the right to terminate that service relationship at any time, including if measurable progress is not being made or if an individual conducts themselves in a manner that is inconsistent with the client-service provider relationship.
Please note that my Cancellation Policy is the full session rate with less than 24 hours’ notice. A courtesy exception may be made at my discretion under documented extenuating circumstances. If you are ill on the day of your appointment, please notify me ASAP to reschedule.

What is your mask policy?
I encourage anyone experiencing undiagnosed respiratory symptoms to consider masking in the office. Similarly, during especially high respiratory infection seasons, I may choose to mask. This decision is made in the best interest of the health and wellbeing of both myself and those immunocompromised individuals with whom I may interact.
